On this day in 1920, the Nineteenth Amendment was ratified after Tennessee—by just one vote—became the 36th state to approve it, capping the 72-year fight to win women the right to vote in the United States. It seems odd to me, as it really wasn't that long ago, that not everyone had the right to cast their opinion in ballot form. So...make sure to vote.

Sherwin Williams Color Forecast 2023.

Good day. Sherwin Williams color forecast is really interesting this morning. Aside from featuring my "go to green" aka "Leapfrog", they have posted an organic page of greens and blues that I need to share. Although Farrow & Ball is normally my favorite company because of their uniquoe palette, SW really hit it out of the park IMHO with this color key.

Herbs, Deadheading and Praying Mantises.

Happy Wednesday everyone! I was deadheading my herb garden yesterday and came upon something thrilling. A baby praying mantis in the wildflower pot. Please make sure to find time to enjoy the outdoors because Summer can be so fleeting. Remember also that the colors of nature can be a great inspiration for your indoor design palette. Red, green and yellow. Stop, go or step on it.

On this day in 1914 in Cleveland, Ohio, the first electric traffic light was installed; it featured red and green lights.
