Bassett Dining. Reflecting Maple, Oak, Cherry and you.
Here is a fun (?) fact.
Ask any Historian and he/she will tell you that the ancient Greeks were the first to designate a specific area for feasting. Back then only men were allowed access to the wood or stone benches where honey cakes and nuts were served, while women stood and young men found a spot on the ground.
My, how times have changed. For a while, a more relaxed living style seemed to take away the need for a true Dining Room as people gravitated to kitchen islands and sitting comfortably in the Family or Great room, eating while watching television.
Today, dining rooms are making a resurgence in interior design as homeowners seek to create an inviting atmosphere for their friends and family. Please know that Bassett is right with you. Mostly solid woods, performance fabrics and leathers and newly styled upholstered chairs with casters for easy movement will make your design experience easy, attractive and functional. Bring in your room size and a few inspiration pics ripped from magazines or on your iPhone and ask for me. Oh, and no more standing only for women. Or children sitting on the floor. Unless you choose to. Jim Clarey JPClarey@BassettFurniture.Com 610-337-1249
