Mid-century modern is a style of design that was popular in the mid-twentieth century. Characterized by clean, simple lines and lack of embellishment, it was a refreshing break from more detailed, carved styles. MCM was embraced throughout the World but gained most of it's popularity in North America, Brazil and Europe from about 1945 to 1970.
