Mid-century modern is a style of design that was popular in the mid-twentieth century. Characterized by clean, simple lines and lack of embellishment, it was a refreshing break from more detailed, carved styles. MCM was embraced throughout the World but gained most of it's popularity in North America, Brazil and Europe from about 1945 to 1970. Well guess what, MCM is experiencing a resurgence and Bassett King of Prussia is representing well. And, it is on sale. Dining, Living, Bedroom and Occassional pieces can be applied completely or sparingly to existing furnishings to offer a clean line to your spaces. Stop in, call or email me. Although we are all pretty much clearing out from 12+ inches of snow in this area, it is never too early to think about Summer Home/Outdoor design. It just so happens that our Bonavista Dining Floor Set has been clearance priced for swift pick up or delivery. A study of neutrals, the set consists of (2) swivel host chairs, 4 side chairs, an 84" long Dining Table, Unbrella, substantial base and easy care outdoor area rug. Please see photos included and call or email me with any questions. If this color palette isn't to your liking, new items are available with many fabric, area rug and finish options. Winter in Chester County, PA can be an interesting place. One day we are in the negative temperatures and then we hit a balmy 54 degrees. Whether you weather the Winter here or someplace warmer you can always count on Bassett to keep you in the style loop. We just received and have on display many new fabrics and leathers for your upholstery needs. Our Lane Venture Outdoor Lifestyles have also been refreshed with new finishes and fabrics. I may be the only one who tends to hit the rewind button this time of year, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I am not alone. I very recently learned that my only child/adopted Mom had an older brother three years her senior and probably never knew that he existed. Even more illuminating, he and his mother (who would have been my grandmother) lived less than ten minutes away from me in my twenties and early thirties. I wish that I could find photos because there's a good chance that I cut one or both of them off in the grocery store line or in busy traffic. Bassett Furniture has been around since 1902 and has kept with the times throughout its' history. Quality, variety and a strong reputation are the main part of our success. Whatever Holiday you celebrate, please keep in mind that we are all in this together. I enjoy working her because of the aforementioned stats and also because virtually all walks of life stop into the King of Prussia location. We invite you to do the s...

Happy Autumn everyone! Here in Chester County the leaves are changing color and falling as they always do this time of year. The change in the air pretty much insists that we start getting ready for the Holidays. This Season Bassett has introduced Kitchen and Dining Tables with self storing leaves, leaves that attach to the ends of our tables and simple narrow leaves that turn a space conscious round into a guest friendly oval. With many sizes, finishes and styles we feel as comfortable with our chairs as we do in knowing that you will find your Table needs filled.
